OUR STORY
Hi, we are Paul Dorkings and Dave Christophi, the authors of “Make Sense of Pence,” a learning resource aimed at empowering children to understand the importance of money and financial literacy. As the founders of Your Guardian, a successful management consultancy that has been instrumental in supporting businesses globally, we hope to bring our expertise and passion for financial success to the realm of children’s education.
Our journey into financial education for young learners was not just a professional endeavour but also a personal one. As devoted fathers of young children, we recognise the significant impact that early financial education could have on shaping our children’s future. We firmly believed that financial education should be accessible, enjoyable, and engaging for children, paving the way for brighter financial prospects as they grow older.
With this mission in mind, and following some interesting conversations with our children! We embarked on creating “Make Sense of Pence,” a resource that simplifies financial concepts into bite-sized, easy-to-understand sections. The resources are designed to capture children’s curiosity, turning the learning process into an exciting adventure.
Understanding that the earlier children begin learning about money, the better equipped they will be to navigate their financial journey, we set out to empower young learners with essential knowledge and skills. By demystifying the world of money, we aim to instil confidence in children, enabling them to make informed decisions and become financially responsible individuals in the future.
