Educate to Enable
Non-linear education to Bridge the Skills Gap.
Education for Outcomes not for Certificates.
Too many courses are undertaken to gain a certificate and in doing so follow a pattern of linear learning and completion of tick box exercises in order to complete external criteria. They are less about learning for a desired outcome.
Standards and Qualifications are important, we don't doubt that, being an expert in your field can be valuable. However, a small understanding of a larger topic might be the only steppingstone you require as you move into a larger world. You might not want, or need, to become an expert whose obtained a certificate with a level on it. Essentially, you might just want to get a bit better at what you do or learn something different allowing you to dip your toe into a new market.
Small bite size, cost effective education can lead to bigger and better things. Don't feel you have to jump in the deep end straight away! When starting points and desired end destinations, relating to education, are so different, the path to an outcome must also be different.
